I specialise in a realistic style heavily influenced by symbolism, figurative, impressionism, with a pinch of surrealism.

All my inspiration comes from the natural world and I adore capturing the beauty of our planet, a flower, a wonderful creature (animal or human), a landscape or a favourite place.

From Tees to Totes, pillows to phone covers, stickers to skirts, and even leggings.

Currently displaying the Save the Sanctuary Series, we will be uploading the classics and new works soon.

Pet Portraits

I specialise in pet portraits drawings, and you can choose from a variety of sizes, and two different styles. The smaller sizes are a looser freer style, and the larger sizes are a photo realistic style. Either choose a portrait for each of your pets, or I can create a compilation of your pets from over the years. I do work from photographs; a good quality phone image is ideal.

I take great care in capturing the essence and personality of your pet, and I find it is an immense honour to create memorial portraits for the fur babies who have made their journey over the rainbow bridge.

Acrylic Paintings

Acrylic painting is the medium I like to use for personalised artwork, or when the mood takes me, and I just need to paint something. In the galleries and the shop, you will find a variety of acrylic paintings including warriors, fairies, flowers, and animals.

A variety of my personalised acrylic paintings can be found in the artwork gallery. Paintings can be commissioned to create a unique and personal piece. I would love to work with you to bring your vision to life.

Ceramics

A few years ago I became disillusioned with the world and my place in it. To ground myself and reignite my passion to be creative, I asked myself ‘What would you like to learn just for you?’. The answer was ceramic wheel throwing.

Over the course of my life, I have attempted to learn this and for some reason or another it was not available. I love the mediative state of bliss that creating ceramics takes you to, whether that be hand-building or on the wheel. I specialise in creating entertainment sets with a decorative scene or a unique design on them.

My latest endeavour is the elemental ritual bowl. These vessels have four compartments to honour the elements of water, earth, fire, and air. These bowls are designed for use during meditation, ceremony, or ritual practices.

Origami

Nearly a decade ago I was extremely unwell. I was always intrigued by the art of origami, so to engage my mind in the monotony of being unable to move, I started making cranes. In 2014-15 I created the project 1000 cups of cranes, in which I folded 2000 cranes, took 1000 photos, and created 100 coffee cups which can be seen in the shop.

I enjoy the intricacy of origami and the way that light and shadow play with the paper. Origami is a fantastic decoration for parties, gift for guests at weddings or other events, I have also created some for theatre performance and for the Emma Hack Gallery.

If you would like a single origami, mobile or a collection of origami, I would be honoured to fold you a kaleidoscope of butterflies, a flock of cranes or a wisdom of wombats. Please email or send me a contact form for whatever your heart desires in origami form and I will do my best to bring it alive for you.

Mandalas

In my practise of meditation, learning about art therapy and art AS therapy I discovered Mandalas. I started a practice of drawing a mandala as a therapeutic tool in the morning to calm the mind, reduce stress and anxiety. You will find a collection of Coloured Mandalas as well as mandalas that you can download for a small price to colour in yourself. You can order your own specialised Mandala in the shop. I will work with you to incorporate the symbols, colours and meanings that are special to you.

When the mood takes me I will head to the beach and create what I call Sandalas, I can also run a team building, group workshop in which we will create a Sandala together on the beach and I will capture it and post a timelapse on YouTube

Community Art Exhibitions and Displays

I have always been active in my community via sport and over the last few years I have introduced community art into my practice. This started with the 1000 Cups of Cranes in which members of the community coloured in squares of paper that were then folded into cranes as part of the project.

The Ukiyo 浮世 Adventures included origami butterfly templates that you can download, colour and fold with the assistance of my YouTube videos.
I am an active participant in the SALA festival each year.

Charlotte May and Naomi painted the Hooded Plovers  Mural at Ozone reserve in Henley Beach, the Warrawong Water Tanks mural.
Naomi has since facilitated the creation of the Reclink Mural at the Noarlunga Centre, the Reclink Skateboard Welcome Mural in Brukunga and is working with The Brukunga Community Association on the Stobie Pole Art program with the participants of the Brukunga Art Group.

Thank-you.
We look forward to creating your masterpiece!
